I usually have a purpose in mind when looking for music, but in the case of Verwüstung I just happened to be in the library of all places, browsing Youtube when I probably should have been studying. I really wasn't expecting a whole from this 30 minute track but boy, was I wrong. The track starts out perfectly with quiet guitar riffs, layerd over shoegaze like drone that emulates wind echoing through the trees. Verwüstung's songs are almost like a story each section is a new chapter. You have sections of serenity then you have your sections of dissonance. If you're into dense atmosphere and long songs be prepared for an eargasm
